About Sky Mountain Park Traverse

This hike combines three of Snowmass’s most popular trails (Cozyline, Skyline and Viewline) into a one-way hike to remember. While this hike can be done in either direction, we recommend starting at the Intercept Lot and hiking towards Snowmass Village; this direction offers the best big mountain views. You’ll begin your hike with a gently graded ascent of the Cozyline trail. Once you’ve topped out, you’ll make a right at the well-signed intersection of the Cozyline, Airline and Skyline trails onto Skyline. From here, you’ll find much more up and down terrain all the way across the ridge towards Snowmass. After you’ve been hiking for about 5 miles, you’ll reach the intersection of the Viewline and Deadline Trails, though the views may distract you from noticing the signs. The deadline is a mountain bike only trail that veers left so stay on course and follow the sign down the Viewline trail. At the base of Viewline, you’ll find yourself at a roundabout, cross Owl Creek Rd. then Brush Creek Rd. to arrive at Town Station where you can hop the next free shuttle back into Snowmass Village.

***Dogs are not permitted on any Sky Mountain Park trails***

Parking

As this is a one-way hike, this route is best done via free bus transportation. To get to the start, take the free bus to the Intercept Lot. Once finished, catch the free shuttle at Town Park Station to complete your journey.
