The Ditch Trail is a wide and rocky trail with great views towards Mt. Daly and is a great trail for every level of hiker.
A favorite among locals for leisurely strolls, the Ditch Trail follows an old irrigation ditch and is relatively flat with gentle grades and beautiful views of Mt. Daly and the Maroon Snowmass Wilderness Area on the East end. The West end of the Ditch trail takes on a different demeanor as it takes a sharp turn to the South and climbs up to the West Government Trail before descending to the East Snowmass Trail (no biking). Dogs must be on leash at all times on all Town trails, and please be courteous and clean up after your dog. Leash law strictly enforced.
Direct trailhead access is available from the Upper Divide Parking Lot. If connecting via the Nature Trail, parking is available in the numbered lots near the Snowmass Mall.
