A hike up the Ski Area to Elk Camp. Combine it with a gondola ride for a one-way hike.
This trail starts in Base Village and winds up through aspen groves and wild flower meadows towards the top of the gondola at Elk Camp. This hike offers the option of enjoying an on-mountain meal and/or treating yourself to a gondola* download, letting you continue to enjoy those views while giving your legs a well-deserved rest.
For the more ambitious hikers, you have the ability to add to your hike via the Rabbit Run Loop (about an extra 30 minutes), Sierra Club Loop (about an extra hour) and/or continuing to the summit on the appropriately named Summit Trail.
