The Nature Trail is easily accessible from the Snowmass Mall and nearby properties. The trail head is in parking lot #7 just above the main bus stop at the Snowmass Mall. This trail boast beautiful views of Mt. Daly at a very mellow grade. While this trail can be hiked as a quick out-and-back, it also serves as a fantastic connector to the Rim Trail (South), Ditch Trail and Campground Connector. Consider this your main access to some of the most accessible sub-2 hour hikes around.
Note: The Nature Trail lies on a narrow easement, so please stay on the trails and respect the private property that lies to either side of the trails. Dogs must be on leash at all times on all Town trails, and please be courteous and clean up after your dog. Leash law enforced. Additionally, please note that the Nature Trail is closed to mountain biking daily between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for Aspen Center for Environmental Studies guided nature hikes. So, if you would like to hike this trail without having to consider sharing the trail with mountain bikers, please take advantage of this closure period.
